I also was unable to find records of my training or the time on the perimeter. It was also not shown on my quarterly reviews.
Also important, talk to your Congressman (either Senate or House.) They almost always have someone assigned to help vets. You can win. Be patient and don’t quit.
Finally, make sure you get a “Nexus” letter on the correct form (get from VA) that says “as likely as not” your condition is service related. Good luck. Previous Message
I have filed two appeals and next is to do the hearing. I am getting plenty discouraged and need help. VA stated that there is no proof that I performed "augmentee" security patrol. There is nothing in my records. While my AFSC is "Inventory Management Specialist", the VA's position is that I stayed in the office the whole year I was there. When actually due to personell shortage( as with augmentee service), I delivered materials/supplies all over the base. Including along the perimeter and the entire flight line. Does anyone know about a map of Takhli ? My barracks were adjacent to the flight and possible close enough to the perimeter to be exposed. I have heard about a "clear zone" Does anyone have any info on tat term ?
