Steve, thanks a million for the reply. My understanding of all this is that if a guy was in Thailand and worked along the fence lines any time during the war that is all that is needed to get a.o. help form the va. How does one prove you worked in the weeds? Do they go by mos? Heck I was a E-3 (got my E-4 at Takhli) aug.66-aug.67, 355 SPS, us low life enlisted types sure did not get ot work town patrol. The older nco's had that job. How did you prove duty location? During my time you might get to ride SAT but the next night you would be working the POL or bomb dump. I went to the DAV three years ago and the guy made me feel like a turd for wanting to file a.o. I wish I had did as you and file by myself. Thanks for your help.
