Re: AGENT ORANGE TAKHLI 1967/68
Robert, I have a question for you. Did you talk to a VSO? Just wondered. The first time I approached a VSO he was less than helpful. He indicated that if you did not have "Boots on The Ground" in Vietnam you could forget it. I tried to explain that was not true and he would not even look at the documents I had. I ended up filing on my own and when the VA conceded I went back to him and showed him. Then he wanted to see my documents and what I sourced. I wonder how many Thai Vets he turned away before he got the information....from me!!! Since then I have worked with him on a couple of other issues and have found two other times that his instructions were wrong. The last one would have cost me $1740.00 in past due payments if I had listened to him. I'm not saying not to go to a VSO, I'm sure the most of them are great. I think you should just make sure you double check everything. In the end you have to take care of yourself. 355th Security Police Squadron, Takhli 69-70.
