Bill, I would still suggest working with a VSO as they know better how to file. I had the same experience with the VSO when I first filed and it made me mad enough that I decided I would do it on my own. The same VSO is now working with me to appeal my denial for hearing loss. I would take in the two documents that I have referred to in my earlier posts. Show them to the VSO. Some of them, including mine, had never seen them and were surprised and apologetic for not helping me before. He should be able to guide you from there. Your MOS should be good enough. I also had a "buddie letter" from another airman in the 355th that was there at the same time. We both witnessed the AO along the parimeter. Good Luck.
