Re: 41st T.E.W.S TAKHLI 1967/1968
My name is Francis (Bud) Frischenmeyer and I was also stationed at Takhli in the 41st TEWs from 10 Mar 1968 until 10 Mar 1969. I worked in the B66 phase docks and as part of my duties we took out completed major inspection aircraft across the engine trim pads at the end of the runway. I remember the very strong smell of chemicals being sprayed on a routine basis. They didn't advertise what they were spraying for so we all thought it was for mosquitos. Like many of my fellow airmen stationed in Thailand I am now diabetic and have severe neuropathy in my feet as well as my legs. I have had quadruple coronary bypass surgery. Also like many of us I am having no luck getting the VA to accept responsibility for the use of agent orange in Thailand. I keep checking back on this website hoping the day comes they finally own up to using it. I have had no luck providing factual proof I was subjected to it being sprayed.
