I was at takali 5/67 until 5/68. I worked in supply in the J-75 engine shop, swing shift. I had to get hearing aids several years ago, but have had a hearing problem since I was discharged in 5/68. I believe my hearing issue was related to my exposue to high noise level from F-105's while sleeping in the open air barracks located close to the takeoff runway. The exposure from the aircrafts afterburner was constant since I was sleeping mostly during the mornings and early afternoons when sorties were deploying on missions.












I applied for veterans benefits through the VA in 2009
but was denied do to my income being over the threshold level.

Has any other vet experienced a similar hearing loss after being exposed to this continous high noise level during their tour?
