Re: exposure to agent orange
I was stationed takhli jan 67-jan 68.I was an air traffic controller and worked in the RAPCON, radar approach control across the runway in front of control tower.i am trying to prove I was on the perimeter or past it ,the facility was the red and white checkered building /trailer to the left of the thai housing access road that crossed runway next to control tower. I believe that area was part of the area all along runway sprayed with herbicides/agent orange. I do know nothing grew along runway or our hooches while I was there and we were in a jungle. I am trying to find someone to write a buddy letter to prove my location in regard to perimeter and spraying. if anyone is willing to help please email me. I have been denied my va claim twice now but will continue to apply until I die. I'm 74 and have had heart surgery, by-pass, stents ischemic heart disease that is a covered illness. I also went to Ton sanout Vietnam afb on way over and return trip home. I have my boarding number on a teletype msg for flight but because it doesn't say Vietnam the va wont accept it for boots on the ground in Vietnam. I would appreciate anyone's help if able to assist me. As a side note, I was the lead guitar player in the country band and also the rock band that played in the airman's, nco and officers club on base many nights. I was a young 20 year old all of 115 pounds, wow 54 years ago. I still play in a band today mostly pedal steel guitar but also banjo and guitar, I have played many benefits for good causes and many events for veterans especially wounded warriors. I use my gift of music to help and entertain others. stay health my comrades and it was a pleasure playing music for you in the clubs. larry reandeau.... PS:not 115 lbs anymore! email ljreandeau@gmail.com Previous Message I was TDY to Takhli AFB Jan 1970 to April !970 with the 2951 CLSS. We modified F105's in a building close to end of runway. Any help verifying this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Guy
