Does anyone remember the Fire on the Perimeter behind the Bomb dump when crew was spraying Agent Orange and the power unit set the unit on fire?? there were 3 Thia Nationals that die about 4-6 hours later that were burned real bad then there were 3 more that lived a few days to week and one I think survived. The GI that was running the operation had 2 and 3 degree burns and was shipped to Philippines. Also one fire in front of the bomb dump area on runway side and one in front of the POL area on the runway side. If anyone remembers these 3 incidents please let me know. Also to Security Police if you remember Us coming out to your Guard towers along the perimeter for fire and safety checks, periodically. I need confirmation on these items from some folks out there as the AF form 1529 these were reported upon has long past Archive time limit , as have the Fire Department log books. So if any one remembers the incidents from July 1972 to July 1973 please Please give me a shout!! I was the Deputy fire chief from July 1972 till Nov. 1972 then Assistant Fire Chief until my departure July 1973. Ssgt Jackson was my Station chief.
