Two years ago this month I met with a DRO from the VA in Philadelphia. I had a complete handout for her. While I was talking to her she was creasing pages in my handout and taking notes.
She said I had presented a good case to her and she was going to send a letter to another part of the VA who would verify that I was at Korat when I said I was and worked where I said I did. She said it would take 4 to 6 weeks for this to finish. She really had me believing I was in good shape for a disability for my heart.
I let it go and finally went to e-Benefits and saw that my case was closed. Neither me or the VSO received a letter indicating this closure.
A call was place to the VA and a nice person there looked at my records and said my cased was denied at the end because the JSRRC sent a letter somewhere and the denial was based on the fact that NO spraying was done during my time at Korat.
Come to find out, all denials at the same stage as mine have the same statement from the JSRRC.
They contacted the 42 TEWS and they had no records or spaying. The individual tenets of the base did not spray.
There was a special section for this that was run by the Army. They did the spraying and only kept the records for a short time of what and where they sprayed.
The UdornResearchGroup at Yahoo have been winning cases lately. Everyone in the Group are helping others with ideas to present their cases.
Mine is under review again. The VA sent me to an approved doctor for an evaluation. Just waiting to see what happens now.
I have a home in Thailand and go there for at least 5 months of the year starting in Sept or Oct. Don't have a firm date for this year yet.
