I was also a crew chief on F4Ds. I was with the 7th TFS from the 49th and my planes tail number was 66-7585. I to was there to help re-open the base. I remember sleeping on the floor at first, no beds, no doors on the hotches at the time. Weeds as tall as we were. What an experience. to many Cobras for my liking. Fun to read some your emails, nice to hear from others out there. Thanks for the memories.
