Hi Steve Oakland, I was reading through this Message Board and I also did the TDY's to Germany and was at Hanh, Bitburg and my last TDY was back to Bitburg after returning from Takhli to Hollman AB with the mighty 49th TFW/9th TFS.
We might have been together on flights to and from Takhli. When I was at Takhli AB. I was known as “Chief” because of being Native American. I was an Avionics Instrument Systems troop, probably worked on your bird.
As I said, I flew straight across the Pacific and back on a C-130 sitting on “Web Seats”.
I was thinking about the TDY to Takhli and recalled the trip back to the States. The crew I was with landed at Clark AB Philippines on our way to Hickam AB.
But any way when we arrived at Hickam AB we were assigned rooms and we got together, changed into our civilian clothes, and caught the city bus going to Waikiki Beach. Someone on the bus said, “Hey, there’s a McDonald’s” and we all got off the bus and went into McDonald’s, ordered hamburgers, fries and milk shakes.

As for your Bird, it is probably a static display somewhere or at Davis-Monthan AB aircraft grave yard or was used as Drone. Carry On !!!!
