The manufacturer does not have to pay for the labour. The only labour paid is if the vehicle is repaired at the dealer. It is a slim chance that if you contact the customer service team and explain your prob they may give you a contribution to your labour. The parts will not be returned to VW for checking the warranty department in the uk put that decission to the dealer so if the dealer says it is faulty then the claim is processed and as soon as the claim is inputed to the warranty system they will get a decission staight away how the claim will proceed. Dont let them tell you it will take 30 days to hear from VW that is them waiting until there claim has been inputed and the monthly credit is in there bank for the parts. I no this because i used to be a group warranty manager for a VW Dealer
