if you are confident the clutch has been fitted well( which it has as you state by it going so long).then i believe there is one course of action. i would instruct my customer that i would be booking it in asap with vw. he will have to deal with them direct as the main bonus of using genuine parts is the fact anything goes wrong they will cover the parts and labour. they will claim the labour back under warranty anyhow. IF they determine it is down to overloading or abuse then they will state that to him and he then has to take vw to court!! (that would make him think twice). the job is no longer your responsibility if it is faulty parts. best all around sulution, you are seen to be making a real effort to get job sorted and confidently showing your customer you believe in your own workmanship. sean
