    Great thread!

    My number of posts on UKAT in 12 months can be counted on one hand. However, I read most new posts on most of the discussion groups most days.

    This site is a gold mine of information given freely by good techs that have invested time and money in equipment, training and personal development.

    It is also a very good litmus test for the state of our trade - some very good, some competent, some learning and trying their best to improve and some that should be ashamed to call themselves mechanics.

    Dave Hill, Sean, Kevin and Richard all make very good points which I strongly agree with.

    Some on here will know me from other forum in which I frequently contribute, others will not but from my side the OP and Peter are saying that the quality of posts would improve exponentially if posters put a little more effort into their posts content and provisional testing before requesting assistance.

    Just my thoughts.
