    I note with interest Sean's slant on life, but look at a code reader as a ukat member it tells you where to look not what is wrong !

    So you go straight to the items to test with whatever equipment you have invested in and come to an informed decision.

    He states "you know no testing will be done" No you dont! you are making an assumption and we all know assume makes an ass out of u and me.

    When I started out in the business the MK1 Cortina was king, over the years I have had to learn, and learn some more, on and on it goes spent a fortune on diagnostic equipment "Crypton tuner" to todays Snap on and Pico equipment.

    I agree things today are happening at a rate we can hardly keep up with but not everyone has the money or time to go on lots of training courses, especially self employed with a young family and a large mortgage, so a forum full of helpful techs can be a godsend.

    Sorry to ramble, probably sounding like an old git !
