I was in the 57mms out of Nellis AFB We Were TDY to Takhli I think September 1972. As I remember that's when the F-111 were sent there. I worked on air to air missiles. At first it was 6 days a week. Then the F-4s left. The 111's weren't carrying missiles so it was 2 days a week incase the phone rang. It seams like we had an alert that the enemy was near the base. We weren't allow guns so they sent guards to protect us. Any way when we were on nights I remember that truck would come around and spray DDT. The bugs all just dropped out of the sky.
