When Andrew and Fergie bought the chalet, the story was that Fergie was just flush with money due to her fabulous writing career. Her books were moderately successful, but she wasn't raking in the millions. It just was made out that the Yorks were rolling in the money. However, there were doubts as to how they got that money. We found that they either didn't have the money or....they had the money, but just didn't pay, much like the upkeep at Royal Lodge. If they had the money, they chose not to use it for upkeep, Fergie was too busy ordering from Amazon and Andrew had to keep up his lifestyle. They're both greedy and self-centered.
