I remember reading that during the period of the possible trial between Virginia and Andrew that the Queen had been footing all of Andrew's legal bills from the very beginning of Virginia's accusations against him. I recall the stories about the Queen being furious that Andrew settled the case. It was written that HM would spare no expense paying for Andrew's defense. Of course, HM didn't know then what we've learned now. None of us did.
He was, supposedly her favorite child, and she may have written off the money he would have owed her. I don't know. I still get the niggling feeling that Andrew has some money stashed away in offshore accounts...he got all that money from the Middle East and the Central Asian countries. Well, he'll more money now, he'll receive money from Charles, but he can't do anything with it. He can't travel, spend it lavishly on exclusive clubs etc.
