Read this one with interest. Had an exchange unit collected today by prior arrangement, driver had no means to provide a reciept. We have had delays with credit notes before but not unresolved, could be different if branch staff were un co-operative. On a positive note, we have no local dealer for Seat or Skoda. The local VW dealer is unable to identify parts for the other brands and will certainly not give a warranty on anything fitted to another brand. This is not the case with TPS. The local VW and Audi are practically next door to each other but will each pretend the other does not exist let alone share most of the same technology. I think it stems from VAG's clever marketing policy of selling the same vehicles to all sectors of the market at whatever price they can get. Two or more brands in the same retail outlet would undermine this. The trade is aware so this becomes irrelevant. |
