Unfortunately the database I was referring to only lists casualties as a result of fixed-
wing aircraft losses (i.e. usually flying personnel).
Am I correct in understanding that the event you're talking about occured at Takli?
Could you maybe give a better timeframe than just '1968'? Was it in fact 1968, or might
it have been '67 also (somewhere else you stated you were at Takhli 67-68.
Or else as best as you could you narrow the time frame in 1968 (like do you recall it
was during summer or winter, other circumstances like the day after it happened -- if you
need to, work with probabilities to get an initially narrower timeframe).
Then I would advise you to visit this website: http://thewall-usa.com/ and fill in the
details and see what you come up with. I just tried and entered just the data 'U.S. Air
Force' and the timeframe '1.1.1968' - '1.1.1969'. I think I got about 300+ results.
But that included officers (Lt, Capt, Maj, etc.), and I suppose the person you talked
about was not an officer.
Also: the results from this search, when clicking on more details for those persons found,
lists the status of the casualty; I would assume such as you're refferring to would be a
'non-hostile' caualty(?), so you might narrow them down further with that.
If you need more help, let me know.
