Thanks for your thoughts Barry, I know exactly what you mean about "in danger of going round in circles" in fact I think I am! Im thinking of a "back to basics " as they say and basically starting again because Im convinced Im missing something stupid. Thankfully Ive given the customer another car to use so he's happier and that takes the pressure off the head somewhat! What you say about the ign switch.. that is my next thought so to speak.. and the relay, and too a pin check if it comes to it. And I'll be following your other sugestions too as I have the others. I have indeed had some excellent help from ones. As for swallowing pride and getting someone with a fresh mind to look at it, Thats what Ive done when I put it to the forum! I only do that as a last resort - I'd had it here for a week then ! So back to it... and we'll see what happens. You might see an ad for a dead golf for sale soon !
