Hi You are in danger of going round in circles with this job you need to take a complete break from it go away, do some thing else and come back with a fresh attack you have possible missed something. This and most ECU,s have two power supplies one direct from the ign sw and one via a relay, i have found this relay to some times have bad contacts on audi/vw,s. You need to do a pin by pin check at the ECU using a pin data book/diagram if all checks out. Earth the appr0piate wire for a sec to sw the injector the injector may be sticking or the transitor in the ECU unable to earth it satisfactorily You could swallow your pride and get someone with a fresh mind to look at it. Its quite difficult to follow the forum thread now and you are going to get all sorts of suggestions . The pin by pin check is the only way.PS the device mentioned previously was made by AJ6 engineering (0)1625 573556 and applys or tests for a pulse, I have one and its a usefull piece of kit at low current applications ( it will not always switch coils and injectors) dont know if still available
