    Hi Paul,
I could well be pointing out something that many readers of these boards know already, but for the uninitiated, here goes...

The IMI have regional Members' Associations that hold regular meetings. The meetings usually take the form with an invited guest speaking on various subjects. These are published in the 'Fothcoming Events' page in their magazine and on their website. (www.motor.org.uk Go to the IMI Membership section and then Member Associations for the different regions.)

In the East Kent area on 17th Feb Tarn Ennis of Peugeot will be holding a presentation on their Hdi engines. I've attended various meetings over the years and have always found them to be really interesting. If anything I'm amazed that they're not more heavily attended.

If you're not an IMI member yourself, but you know someone who is, then you are able to attend the meetings as their guest.

My own personal opinion, having been a member for a few years now, is that they really are changing to become a body that encompasses the WHOLE industry, rather than simply reflecting the interests of those working in a Main Dealer environment which is what I believe was happening until quite recently.

Sorry if I've hi-jacked Paul's post by turning it into an 'IMI' subject. My point is that by attending some of these events a lot can be picked up, with much of it coming from the manufacturers themselves.
Hopefully in the meantime someone will be able to help with Paul's initial question..!

    Kind regards,
Debbie Norris (Not on the IMI payroll!)
