Why would you even need to blank it off full atop. If its been reprogrammed out properly then it shouldn't even be commanded to operate surely.

Not that I have any experience in this but if you have reflashed some vauxhalls to disable egr operation you must still leave it electrically connected as it logs an open circuit code iirc.
