Hey Glen. I was in entirely for six months 72 to 73. I was a jammer driver, but our duties also took us out to the bomb dump,gantry and sometimes pulling arm and D arm end of the runway. I was there when we lost that F111. between the taxi away and the runway. They just let the bombs cook off. I remember Gibbons, he seemed like he was a lot older than the rest of us always talked about his old man being famous somewhat. i’m having quite a time with the VA not being able to find my records and me trying to prove I was boots on the ground for a claim I am pursuing. I wish I could remember some of the guys that I served with over there but 50+ years is a long time and may not having any photos to speak of doesn’t help if you have any photos to share I sure would appreciate it.
