I was there 68 thru 69. We received word that Hanoi Hanna claimed that the Cong was coming over and destroying Takhli. I was a baker then and all of a sudden they put an M-16 in my hand. I and others trained throughout the perimeter of the base and on the 5th of December 1968 The Thai Kings birthday I was put on the flight line. I had a minor heart attack at the age of 31 along with diabetes II and then a major one at age 49. Now my cardiologist is telling me that it is AO. I can not find anything that tells me that they used AO even though I know they were very active clearing the perimeter.
