Re: Agent Orange in Takhli
Bill, I got the same thing when I called them today myself. They told me that was not official what was posted on the VA May 2010 bulletin. If you go in and read it, this makes no sense. I am trying to prove my husand had boots on ground in VN, however they have lost my husband payroll record for the whole year he was at Udorn. Then I requested records from St. Louis, MO and that took months to get a response. Last week I got a letter saying they were on loan to Randolph headquarter. When I got through to to Randolph they said they did not have the records and I would have to call St.Louis back but could never get back through to them... it has been such a run around. I ask them for a map of the perimeter they sprayed at Udorn and the person I ask gave me a web site but I have yet to find it...she was rude and really did not want to answer my questions. I don't see how they can say this is not official as they have awarded AO benefits. It was on one of the web sites I was on...infact that is how I found out about the May 2010 VA bulletin. I have been doing this going on 14 months...I am so angry by what I read on the internet...the same rule should apply for vets that served in Thailand as VN, with the amount of AO used over there...my husband was a young healthy guy and his lung cancer came on him all of the sudden...54 years of age is too darn young...just happened to remember I printed out the web site where this guy said he was getting AO benefits... it is...http://groups.yahoo.com/group/UdornResearch/message/4464...look that up, maybe that will help.
