I think Ingrid Alexandra wants to experience a carefree existence and be just a regular college student. I think her parents supported that. I think she chose not to go to school in the US because of current events and she really wanted to be able to relax, travel, and have fun while young. The chances are very good that she will have to act as hostess for her father when he becomes King and will have to shoulder a lot more responsibility.
