She can't merch the children if she doesn't show their faces. I think those children are the aces in the hole for when everything else falls through. And since everything is falling through, it's time to meet the children. Personally, I think Harry would like to move back to the U.K. with his family and try to resume some of his royal life. Not that it would happen, but he clearly misses the perks, deference, reputational protection, friends and traditions. Just as clearly, Meghan could not care less. I think she doesn't want to depend on either Charles or William for an allowance and that drives her to be financially independent. She also doesn't want the palace to give her guardrails.
