but seriously:
1) how in hades was CDM ever mistreated?
2) from 2016-2022, the program descended into the abyss. and somehow CDM got an unfathomable extension. surely not for performance, maybe for 'hope'
3) AGAIN:
attendance went from 3500 in 2013 dwindling to 1500 in 2023. yes, give CDM credit.....10 frggn years ago for getting it to 3500, but then at what point does he get reprimanded for stinking up attendance beyond the pale?
he went 0-6 in post season games. oh for friggn 6
until last year, he was 1-3 in Big West title games, then finally got another bid.....ONLY after he was fired which did night a fire under the players as they even admitted it did
4) name one GREAT thing CDM did? and by GREAT, I mean GREATNESS. I would not dispute he did some good things. the 2011-2012 seasons, solid no scandals, or infractions. but puuuhlleeze it really is not GREAT to run a clean program, it's expected and a good thing, but not GREAT
5) to me the closest thing to GREATNESS was 2022 title, because of the injuries. that was the most unexpected surprise of his tenure, and a truly solid achievement
6) where in hades was this guy in communicating to the larger Long Beach Community and promoting the program over the years, embracing change (NIL is only now being implemented), embracing getting his butt out into the community. PLEASE SHOW SOME EXAMPLE
7) he got away with the platitudes about playing 'tough' schedules than was nothing more than inflating his salary. He was literally paid to lose, and he ended up the losingest coach in LB history. how is that 'mistreatment'
8) His firing last year was TOTALLY justified. OUt of 30+ games, we had FOUR GREAT GAMES, REALLY GREAT GAMES: USC, Michigan, BWCT Semis over Irvine, and BWCT finals vs. Davis.......and yet everything else was at best satisfactory with a bunch of really BAD/POOR Games mixed in. We only got a top 4 seed, cause other teams lost the last week. and Without that top 4 seed, no way they win 4 games in 4 days. the dude's timing has always been impeccable, so I'll grant anyone the dude has/had great timing....heck this EWU gig is one more example of a charmed coaching existince
9) Look, he's not a bad coach, but to think he's been some GREAT coach is flat out ridiculous. what other coach in the last 20 years was able to ahve a losing D1 record and last 20 years. Please list all of those coaches.

cmon, really? mistreatment, like the AD or school or any fan/alum/booster should just fawn over him?

he got paid, he got RICH at Long Beach. How on earth was that mis-treatment?
