please state what Monson did well prior to the start of the BWCT last year, and what, at the time of the announcement, exactly was to be expected with his contract out?
if your answer is extend him at that time, then by all means you are entitled to say what in his performance was so special....or great!
the fact is, the announcement lit a fire in the team.
the fact is, after it happened, CDM was all too happy to poke fun at Long Beach, which so happened to have made him a rich man over the course of 17 years
I'm just trying to understand the logic of these statements, I really am, as opposed to just expressions that do not state anything specific to back them up
I listed 9 reason, so maybe go thru one by one, and point out to me where the logic if off.
I do get CDM had some admirers and/or personal relationships. that's good stuff.
Really just wondering about the objectivity or rationale in evaluating the description of "mistreatment" and "Greatness" that have been stated

you are right in one aspect, in some ways this looks like an early season CDM coached team, lol
last year with all that experience, they went up to Portland and sucked, confused, figuring things out
"players disrespected last year"? how? cause no one was showing up cause of inconsistent play mostly. cause their coach got fired for going 10-10 and getting punked at home vs. Irvine, SB, Davis, etc.....

I totally agree with you Fred. I really feel Monson was not treated well last year. Neither was his staff and the players were also disrespected.
The prior AD had given him a contract extension.
I am very concerned about the play of this yeas team. Most communication by the head coach with players is with Askew. This is a team sport. Askew cannot be expected to develop well as a player with this load being placed on him.
Most of the other team members appear to be trying to figure out what they are supposed to do. We will see what happens going forward.
