Hi M reg was a strange year for alarms as it was the year that transponder immobilisers were coming in , you probably had the "Serpi star" alarm which was production line or dealer fit before delivery, which is why it was designed to plug in- the weakness is that they were all done the same and fitted in the same place. Some of the early ones did have NC contacts so i would always be sure of what wires you are joining to gether on an immobiliser---some vecta's were wired so that the coil pos was earthed with ign off--any attempt at hot wiring the coil would result in smoke Barry
