Sorted at last!! There was a fault somewhere in the loom stopping full voltage reaching the air mass meter, turbo wastegate control solenoid, third piston cut off solenoid etc. The voltage existed ok at pin 5 of the main relay so I soldered in a wire from here to the wastegate solenoid, erased all the codes and that was that, thanks all, Jim.
