    Hi all, yes John, you were spot on about the wiring chafing , lifted up the loom and about 4 wires had the insulation rubbed off but hadn't cut through the wire, but I think it is a wiring fault that's giving me all this grief. I did a pin check at the ecu today and noticed on pin 80 which is the third piston cut off solenoid I should have had 11 to 14 volts ignition on for 2 seconds then 0 volts, and idling should have given me 11-14 volts however I get 1.25 volts both times, also no reading at pin 13 for MAF sensor output , will go back tomorrow and hope I can finally crack it, Jim.
