    Hi Pete this could be a long shot . but has it got a split charging for towing a caravan i had the same problem on my own omega bought it s/h
    the split charge relay was wired into d+ on the Alternator the relay was located at the back of the car causing a voltage drop has already been said if you have an unequal voltage between b+ and D+ the light will glow
