BMW 2002Tii 1972 - Problem with mechanical fuel pump Archived Message

I'm currently in the process of trying to recommission the car and have removed/overhauled the engine. The engine has not run for a few years and I think I've got a problem with the mechanical fuel pump. The car is fitted with a Kugelfischer PL 04 mechanical fuel distribution pump which is fed by a bosch inline electric pump below the fuel tank. The problem is that the electric pump is working ok, but the injectors deliver no fuel at all. The engine will fire on the cold start injector but will not run at all once this injector has turned off. I've got no technical data on this system, I don't even know what pressure the electric pump is meant to run at. If anyone's got any info on this, I would be very grateful! Alternatively, does anyone know of any company that can still service and bench test this type of pump?. TIA
