I had one that suffered with a battery drain when parked overnight, During the Night the indicators started to flash and the Owner could cacel them with the remote. We checked it out and found nothing wrong, But noticed that any Rover remote and some other types would wake up the BCM and cause a drain for a short while before it went to sleep again.

We then found out that the Owner lived in Norfolk and was visiting his Friend and this problem started on the first day/night that he was parked there.

He was Palked up on a hill within a few hundred yards of a Mobile Phone mast and when we moved the vehicle about 1/4 of a Mile to our garage, The Problem went away.

Even though the Remote cancelled the indicators, The Vehicle always ended up with a flat battery and The immobilser locked out.

When his Immobiliser locked out, We Tried to reset it with the EKA code which wouldn't work, We Borrowed an Autodiagnoss and that had the Option to Resynch the immobiliser and that would not work, We then Shoved the T4 in the van and Resynchronised it with that which worked first time every time.

Connect an Ammeter in series with the battery negative lead and watch the battery drain to see how much current it is drawing and for how long.

    H.T.H. Tony.
