I would fit the fuel catalyst as has been said. I have done intensive work on the dyno with the one we supply and have many customers running them on their older cars, from Maserati to Mini's as well as using them in competition with no valve seat recession at all. This was also confirmed by an independent engine builder who stripped one of my engines after 2 season of rallying ( some 36 events). The other problem with fitting unleaded heads is that you may well still have to retard the ignition timing to stop pinking, whereas the tests have shown that the catalyst allows you to run std ignition timing. Many of you will be skeptical of these units , and i was at first , but after the testing i have done , they do work, but , as with everything, there were a lot of companies jumping on the band wagon circa 2000 to make a quick buck and get out , with a rubbish product, with caused bad press. And lastly, one of my customers runs a Kalista with one on it, and has done so for some 6years.
