As others have said, the IBS is a pretty crap component, so bad that BMW have changed it's part number(and spec) about eight times so far. It will need replacing but I doubt it will cure your problem, does the car crank?,it's not clear from your post whether it does or does'nt. Battery disconnect and short battery leads together for ten minutes, fit new IBS lead and go from there, advise your customer that THEY have probably created a lot of these problems by jumping off procedure (or lack of it) Ed Kaps
