Hello Dave, I personally don't know much about this system, but at this weekends Harrogate conference, I did hear a respected technician mention that some BMW's have a battery monitoring system, (which I think this one has), which monitors battery condition by measuring current drain, charge & temperature of the battery. From what I understand the intelligent battery sensor controls individual circuit operation, by shutting down a circuits supply and presume that it is preventing yours from starting. There is also a test function possible with a scan tool to enable diagnostics for battery faults/issues, because (as pointed out at the conference) testing the system normally may not(will probably not) show up any fault as the circuit causing the problem will be shut off. I think you will need somebody with GT1 or similar functionality to be able to proceed further. Somebody else more knowledgeable than me will probably be able to help more & will hopefully post a reply. Regards,Andrew
