I do loads of these, have two on workshop fleet(sorry Tony!) Never seen it before. Just realised, dont think we ever see a 2litre petrol. Does battery disconnct alone sort it or does fuse need pulling as well? We try to avoid powering down as other strange things can happen eg. C5 2.2hdi big power increase. C5 2.0hdi ext temp reads 10c high Belingo2 hdi srs added passenger airbag C5's have an "antiscanning" feature preventing starting for a few minutes after battery reconnect.
