Hi having problems with this one. Went out to vehicle it cranks but wont start & flashes Immobilizer fault in car. I understand this is a C5 problem & removed the ECU fuse from under bonnet fuse box & cycled ignition switch Wallah the car started. I inquired with a Citroen tech I know and he said I did the right thing occasionally this happens & Citroen don't have any further action.
Within 2 weeks the same problem happened again this time the customer was broken down at the local crematorium. I tried to explain to him to remove fuse, do a battery reset by removing lead and he struggled as we werent able to get to him. He has lost confidence in the car. Does anyone else know of a fix or does the immobilizer need replacing? is this all part of the BCM unit? TIA John Kennard
