I have done loads of these without removing the dash.The best method is to remove the centre console and as much plastic heater trunking as possible.You may have to cut a section out carefully with a sharp knife but it goes back ok with plenty of gaffer tape.Make sure you locate squarely onto the water pipe retaining screw for the clamp(usually a cross head)cos they are normally tight.Not as bad as it looks!! good luck
