Unplugging the 3 pin plug does nothing to the drain. Disconnecting the B+ at the alternator (or the battery) stops the drain.
No real volt drop between battery, starter motor and alternator when i first checked. I'll check again tomorrow as i haven't checked after replacing the alternator.
