You sound a little "battle scarred" & who can blame you. I am a few years behind you & I often look for an escape route too!

There ought to be a TV program that demonstrates the difficulties that we face in our trade. Instead of continuously highlighting the rogue element, it would be nice if some balance could be bought. The public are aware of the problems that face others in their careers. Medical workers & errrm refuse collectors (don't make me laugh), through programs like Grime Fighters & Casualty are represented well, yet we are all portrayed as robbing barstewards. Remember the TV debacle called "The Garage"? That Jock fella, what a tosser. Although mildly amusing, he just added to the stereotype of the garage owner & made us all look bad.

The fact is that we are faced with a huge variety of challenges each day, that would have most sane folk running for the hills on day one!

I don't know about others, but I am finding it harder to bite my tongue these days, with customers who demand the impossible & even worse, they want it for nowt!
