Takhli RTAFB - Land of the King Cobra
Re: Attention all flightline workers 1972 -1973 474th TFW
I can help with that. In my Dad's case we established that the flightline, runway, hangars etc were all in the drift zone of the perimeter. We also established that they sprayed it everywhere INSIDE the perimeter as part of their bare base protocol. Not only did we prove our case and win after 2 previous denials (I didn't do those claims :) )they ratted themselves out about stuff that wasn't even at issue. I've contacted the webmaster for this site and want to make it available to everyone. Just don't sell it.
I was a crew chief on F-111 at Takhli. I suffer from Parkinson's disease and have filed a claim with VA which of course has been denied. There is no family history of this crippling disorder. Had I set foot on vietnamese soil it would be presumed that this is due to herbicide exposure. I would like to hear from other flightline workers who have parkinsons. I think that if it can be shown that we have herbicide related illnesses at numbers higher than expected then VA would be more likely to grant presumptive status to all of those who suffer from these diseases. We should not suffer in silence.
