I was a crew chief on F-111 at Takhli. I suffer from Parkinson's disease and have filed a claim with VA which of course has been denied. There is no family history of this crippling disorder. Had I set foot on vietnamese soil it would be presumed that this is due to herbicide exposure. I would like to hear from other flightline workers who have parkinsons. I think that if it can be shown that we have herbicide related illnesses at numbers higher than expected then VA would be more likely to grant presumptive status to all of those who suffer from these diseases. We should not suffer in silence.
I was diagnosed in 2016 with Parkinson's. I worked in the RAPCON from 73-74 while an E 4.
