At Takhli Jan.66-Dec. 66. I was an A2C assistant crew chief on B-66B&C models. Worked off the hard stands at the end of F-105 parking area. Had to turn those bad boys on the hard stands after they returned. Dust and rocks flying to get them turned. There wasn’t any vegetation around the hard stands because we sprayed it with herbicide to kill anything growing. It helped keep the king cobra and other snakes out. As a lowly airman I was assigned additional duties in the bomb dump loading bombs, spraying herbicide,deliver bombs to F-105 flight line, kicking lids on fuel trucks to empty them in fuel pits and spraying herbicide around hard stands.
