As we reviewed it they constantly referred to the COMM circuits, those were the ones we were most interested in fixing at the time as wires. So the train dispatch circuit was the 1021 wire.
When I asked how they came to tag their circuits like that I was told that was the circuit assignments given to them by Western Union who built all the lines from Ft Wayne up to Melvindale. They continued to use those same assignments. Apparently as I found out later Western Union did much construction of Railroad Comm and some signal lines while building their network along the railroads. Just another tidbit. Dennis H.
