"Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, only had two minutes to process the letter from King Charles before his 'surprise' announcement, according to insiders.

Buckingham Palace released a letter that made clear the Sussexes remain non-working members of the Royal Family despite their return to the UK.

A copy of the letter was received by the couple’s representatives just one hour and 12 minutes before it was released to news outlets, an insider told AP.

At the time, Harry was in a meeting and therefore had little time to respond, becoming aware of the letter only two minutes before its release."

The King and the Palace pulled the same action on Harry and Meghan that they've been using for years...pulling a total surprise with no advanced warning. In addition, both the King and the Palace know that if they informed Harry and Meghan in advance, those two would immediately run and blab to the press.
